Supplies:
• White drawing paper
• Black marker
• Crayons

Instructions:
• Like Cassatt’s image where both the father and son’s clothing blended together, ask children to create a similar painting with their mother or father and him/her, where the clothing is the same.
• Have them draw with a marker, then color in.

 


Supplies:
• Construction paper or drawing paper
• Pastels or crayons (pastels are great for the impressionistic look)
• Landscape images to show them for inspiration


Instructions:
• Have them paint an impressionistic landscape.

 

 

Supplies:
• Watercolor paper
• Watercolors, brushes, water containers
• Crayons
• Pictures of ballerinas and ballet dancers


Instructions:
Two choices:
1. Give children images of ballet dancers for them to draw from.
2. Have children draw along with you as you draw a
ballerina on the white board.
• Have children paint or color the picture.
